The major purpose of this project is to assist the routine operation of APEC Marine Resource Conservation Working Group and Environmental Protection Administration ((EPA) of Chinese Taipei. Four contents of the project include: (1) Publication of four issues of APEC Bulletin on Marine Resource Conservation and Fishery as well as web information on marine conservation in both APEC region and international organizations; (2) Preparation of fundamental policies on marine issues in Chinese Taipei for the first APEC Ocean-related Ministerial Meeting in April 2002 and providing necessary assistance for EPA of Chinese Taipei to deal with APEC affairs; (3) Participation of APEC MRC Annual Meeting and obtaining the consensus of APEC to organize a roundtable meeting on the involvement of private sector; and (4) Organization of the Third APEC Roundtable Meeting on the Involvement of Private Sector on Sustainability of the Marine Environment.
